Updated October 24, 2025
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits may be purchased from your distributor. PharmaCare RAT Kit program ended June 30, 2025 and publicly funded RAT kits can no longer be ordered.
Background: PharmaCare has concluded payments to pharmacies for distributing COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) kits under Policy 8.15. The last eligible order date was May 31, 2025, and all claims were due by June 30, 2025 - late claims will not be reimbursed. While provincial supplies remain, distributors may still provide kits at no cost, but no distribution fees apply. Pharmacies must continue offering provincially supplied tests free to patients and may later transition to private-pay sales once public stock runs out.
