Eligibility
Pharmacies may go onsite to Independent Living (IL) facilities to provide vaccinations, however, only to individuals who meet the current eligibility criteria. Residing in an IL facility does not, on its own, qualify an individual for vaccination.
Vaccine Supply
For any pharmacy looking to setup an offsite vaccination clinic (not for LTC/AL facilities), an online ordering form is available. Pharmacies should not schedule these clinics until early November to ensure vaccine availability. For details see “Offsite clinic allocations” in Ordering and allocation of vaccines. Order form is not for LTC/AL.
ImmsBC data entry and payment
If you have not pre-registered residents into appointment slots in ImmsBC, register each individual as a walk-in on the date of the vaccination. To do this, open the individual’s profile and click the “Check-In” button to document their vaccination. Follow the instructions on clinic day procedures, checking in a client without and appointment.
Continue to document immunization records in ImmsBC for IL residents in the same manner as for individuals in the community.
To trigger payment, immunization records must be entered into ImmsBC, under your pharmacy location set in your ICE “User Defaults”, and on the same date as the vaccine administration.
If you do not have access to ImmsBC, please enroll here and email immunizationsupport@bcpharmacy.ca to expedite the enrollment.
