Informed consent

• Before vaccination, obtain informed consent as per Standards, Limits and Conditions for Drug Administration.
• In the ImmBC system, document that verbal consent was received. Users can document consent for both COVID-19 and influenza at the same time.

• Mature minor consent: Youth fall into the “mature minor” consent category if a healthcare provider supplies them with the information, gives them a chance to ask questions and believes they have the understanding to give consent. No written consent is required from the parent or guardian.
